Capitol City Invite                                Thursday April 21, 2011

MEET INFORMATION

 
Invited Teams: Hamline, Macalester, Concordia Moorhead, St. Thomas, St. Kate, Carleton, Augsburg, Bethel, Northwestern, St. John’s

 
BASIC INFORMATION:  

START TIME:  3:00 P.M. Field Events, 4 P.M. Running Events

 

ENTRY INFORMATION: Entries are due by 8:00 PM on Monday, April 18th. No adds after this time and date.  Final scratches are due by 8:30 AM on Wednesday, April 20th. Heat sheets will be posted on
www.hamlinetrack.com by 6:00 PM

 

ENTRY FEE:  $150 per team ($300 for both men and women)

SPIKES:  ¼” pyramid is the longest allowable. No pins or christmas trees allowed.

SCORING: This will be a non scoring meet.


UNATTACHED ATHLETES:  Meet management reserves the right to have certain events closed to unattached athletes. Athletes must seek the permission of the meet director Paul Schmaedeke to be entered in the meet.

RUNNING EVENTS:   Will be run in sections fast heat first… no prelims (except 100m and 110m hurdles. Only college eligible athletes will advance to finals). 200 will be seeded at the meet. Athletes MUST check during the high hurdle finals and before the gun goes off for the men’s 800.   Check-in will take place at  the center of the football field. 200 lane assignments will be posted during the 400 hurdles at the center of the field.
 

CLERKING: Running events will be clerked at the event’s respective starting line. Only races that do not finish in lanes will require hip numbers. Hip numbers will be located at the  middle of the infield.

HORIZONTAL JUMPS:   Flights will be seeded by performance.
Top entrants will go in the final flight. Top 9 college eligible athletes will advance to finals.

HIGH JUMP and POLE VAULT: Starting heights will be determined at the meet. This is not a meet for inexperienced multi event vaulters. Starting height will be at least 11’6”

 
THROWING EVENTS: 

Weigh in: 2:30-3:15 (Weigh in only if you have a chance to qualify for nationals, even if it’s an outside chance)

-Flights will be seeded by performance
-Best Flight will recieve 4 throws and other flights will recieve 3.
